VT Group has added a new chief financial officer and a chief legal officer, saying the new senior-level executives will strengthen the leadership team and better support the organization’s customers and strategic growth.

VT Group added Alicia R. Townes as senior vice president and CFO, and Ted Timberlake as chief legal officer. Both will serve on VT Group’s executive leadership team, joining new CEO John Hassoun, who was hired in September. All three previously worked at Vistronix.

Townes previously held senior finance and accounting positions at several government contracting companies, including Vistronix, Sotera, GDI, Vangent and Deltek.

“I am pleased to welcome Alicia to VT Group,” Hassoun said. “Her experience in the government contracting market will provide a catalyst for us to reach new levels of success.”

Timberlake previously served as general counsel of Vistronix and Global Integrated Security (USA) and worked in the legal departments of General Dynamics and Veridian. He brings experience in transactions, corporate, operations, government contracting, and compliance, and will lead the legal, contracts, risk management, and industrial security departments, VT Group said. Timberlake played a key role in Vistronix’s acquisitions of six technology companies, and the eventual sale of Vistronix to ASRC Federal Holding Company in 2016.

Hassoun said Timberlake’s expertise in strategic transactions and government contracting made him a good fit for VT Group’s legal needs.
