Sotera Defense Solutions Wins Place on GSA’s $50B Alliant 2 Contract

Sotera Defense Solutions, a KeyW Holding Corp. subsidiary, has been awarded a place on the General Services Administration’s $50 billion Alliant 2 Governmentwide Acquisition Contract, opening up new IT services opportunities for the company.

The Alliant 2 contract is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a 5-year base period and a 5-year option, and it covers a wide range of IT services and solutions.

The new award is the first time Sotera or KeyW have been able to win task orders through Alliant 2 or its predecessor Alliant contract, which was awarded in 2007, KeyW said.

“This award supports KeyW’s goal to partner with our federal government customers by offering services and solutions to modernize their mission IT-related systems and applications,” KeyW Executive Vice President Kirk Herdman said. “We’re excited about the flexibility the Alliant 2 contract affords us to develop, integrate and deliver innovative solutions that meet our customers’ evolving mission needs.”

KeyW acquired Sotera in March, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $235 million. Both companies focus on delivering advanced technologies to the intelligence, cyber and counterterrorism communities.
