CALIBRE Systems Inc. has promoted Gretchen Larsen Idsinga to serve as senior vice president of growth operations. The new role aims to strengthen and expand the company’s position as an industry leader in management consulting and IT solutions, CALIBRE said.

Larsen Idsinga previously served as vice president of CALIBRE’s training, infrastructure and environment division. She assumed her new role Nov. 1.

“Gretchen’s strong business development background and her demonstrated understanding of operations means she is an ideal leader for this new position within CALIBRE,” said Shawn Gundrum, executive vice president and chief operations officer. “As CALIBRE continues to grow and enter new markets, Gretchen’s expertise in growth and operations will be essential. We look forward to growing CALIBRE’s business development under her leadership.”

Before joining CALIBRE, Larsen Idsinga was executive vice president and director for professional services at Michael Baker International, where she drove rapid growth by implementing best practices and accountability across her division. She implemented the company’s first-ever 3-year plan, recouped millions in revenue by providing an accurate baseline of operations, and oversaw $186 million in profit and loss, according to CALIBRE.

CALIBRE, headquartered in in Alexandria, Virginia, was recently recognized as an “Impactful Government Contractor” at the RecognizeDC Government Contracting Awards, earning recognition for its small business mentorship programs and its employees’ philanthropy.
