AMERICAN SYSTEMS has been awarded a $27.4 million task order to support training services for the Defense Acquisition University.

The 4-year task order will be performed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and was awarded through the General Services Administration’s Alliant contract vehicle. The company will support several DAU training styles, including online training, instructor-led classroom learning, continuous learning, and games and simulations.

“We have a proven track record of providing award-winning training solutions across many federal agencies and military branches,” AMERICAN SYSTEMS President and CEO Peter Smith said in a statement. “We look forward to leveraging that expertise at DAU in support of their mission to develop and manage acquisition programs, projects, and systems that continue to make our nation’s warfighters the best-equipped armed forces in the world.”

Based in Chantilly, Virginia, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has approximately 1,300 employees.
