On Dec. 13, the Intelligence and National Security Alliance will host Gen. Raymond A. Thomas III, commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command, as its honored guest and keynote speaker at the Hilton McLean.
Attendees can expect to hear how SOCOM meets a wide variety of global commitments and responsibilities today, while innovating to meet future challenges. Following his remarks, Thomas will join moderator Mike Vickers, former undersecretary of defense for intelligence, for a conversation, including questions from the audience.
Thomas was named the 11th SOCOM commander in March 2016. Previously, he served as commander of the Joint Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, N.C., and as associate director for military affairs at the CIA.
