Evermay Consulting Pushes Into Strategic Capture Services With New VP Hire

    Cora Murphy, Evermay

Evermay Consulting Group has hired Cora Murphy as senior vice president of capture, expanding its services to include strategic capture and proposal services.

Everymay CEO Cedric Sims said Murphy was the best choice to lead the firm’s push into strategic capture services, based on her understanding of what it takes to connect government customer with not only the best solutions, but also the innovators behind those solutions.

“Cora has that, hands-down,” Sims said. “Our clients have long asked us to expand our services of insight and clarity through added capture and proposal strategies.”

Murphy said capture and proposal services are a natural expansion of Evermay’s advisory services, helping clients get to the destination advisory services help to form.

“Having an informed capture and proposal team not only helps our clients strategically plan their mid- and long-term goals, but ensures all efforts, including short-term execution, keep them on the most direct route to mission success,” Murphy said.

Murphy has 20 years’ federal IT experience, including work with CRGT, now Salient CRGT, and Capgemini.  Her marketing-based approach has led to contract awards across myriad agencies, including the U.S. Postal Service, the departments of Health and Human Services and Treasury, and the Social Security Administration, Everymay said.

Her work with government customers included leading the mentor-protégé programs for DHS and Treasury for CRGT. While at Capgemini, Murphy established a training program for almost 200 attendees in proposal management, proposal writing and capture management, leading to a 30 percent increase in proposal responses during the summer proposal season and an increase in revenue, Evermay said.
