SAIC has been awarded a $93 million U.S. Cyber Command task order to help secure the Department of Defense Information Network.

SAIC will assist USCYBERCOM by coordinating, synchronizing and deconflicting DOD cyber forces and DOD cyberspace operations. SAIC will also integrate operational planning efforts for full-spectrum cyberspace operations, participate in the planning process for joint exercises, and assist in developing training objectives, priorities and plans for exercises, the company said.

SAIC looks forward to bringing innovation and value to its work with USCYBERCOM, said Mark Escobar, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s national security customer group.

“SAIC is proud to support the [Defense Department] by helping to coordinate and synchronize offensive and defense cyberspace operations that aim to protect our nation 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year,” Escobar said in a statement. “This important, new task order and our current work supporting USCENTCOM Joint Cyber Centers positions SAIC as a leader in the cyber operations space.”

The task order, which has a 1-year base period and four 1-year option periods, will support the USCYBERCOM Directorate of Operations Joint Operations Center and Special Programs.
