Enlighten IT Consulting, a MacAulay-Brown Inc. subsidiary, was awarded a $1.6 million data analytics contract to support the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

EITC, which was acquired by MacAulay-Brown in December 2016, won a 1-year Data Analytics Pathfinder prime contract, and will assist with development and implementation of analytics on the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Big Data Platform.

The work will help the Air Force team scale its operations, from analyzing information within a single base to looking at data across the entire network concurrently. The contract will be performed at EITC Secure Cloud and Agile Software Development facilities in Linthicum Heights, Maryland, according to MacAulay-Brown’s announcement.

“We have a proud history of supporting BDP development and integration pilot initiatives for our valued customers,” said Shawn Justice, senior vice president and general manager of EITC. “EITC has been exploring this work on behalf of the Air Force for some time, and we look forward to showcasing our data analytics and implementation capabilities on the BDP to help achieve AFLCMC objectives.”

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is responsible for total life cycle management of Air Force weapon systems, and its Data Analytics Pathfinder program will refine requirements and use-cases to determine future enterprise analytics capabilities, according to MacAulay-Brown.

The Big Data Platform and data analytics experts from EITC will help align environments including Cyber Situational Awareness Analytical Capabilities, Joint Regional Security Stack and the Defense Information Systems Agency.  Through the contract, EITC will determine the feasibility of a shared, common-user solution that can be accessed by multiple cyberspace weapon systems and communities of interest as they perform separate operational mission objectives.
