SAP National Security Services, Inc. has been authorized under a standardized security assurance program to offer its cloud-based software-as-a-service solution to federal agencies.

SAP NS2, a subsidiary of SAP, received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program authorization for its Secure Node with SAP SuccessFactors Human Capital Management Suite – Department of Defense, which was also given “in process” status with the Joint Accreditation Board.

FedRAMP provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. The program is designed to reduce costs and accelerate the process of adopting secure cloud solutions by reusing assessments and authorizations.

Carmen Krueger, general manager of the cloud at SAP NS2, said the authorization paves the way for the company to deliver its solution to the Defense Department.

“People remain our most critical asset, and our solution helps agencies train, reward and retain the right talent,” Krueger said.

The SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite is designed to provide solutions in talent acquisition, learning management and talent management as well as workforce analytics and a next-generation core human resources solution.

“Today’s digital economy brings dramatic change to the workforce and work itself,” said Brian Roach, managing director of regulated industries at SAP North America. “All organizations are experiencing it, including those in government. SAP SuccessFactors is focused on enabling HR leaders to respond to change, become more strategic, and engage and empower their people to succeed. We’re very pleased with the FedRAMP authorization as it broadens our reach to help HR leaders drive digital transformation in their organizations.”
