Brig. Gen. Steven Spano and other technology leaders will speak on cybersecurity issues facing the public sector at a conference July 27.
The conference, hosted by Government Executive and sponsored by PCM-G, will be held at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, D.C., 7-11:45 a.m.
Spano is retired from the Air Force and is now president and chief operating officer of the nonprofit Center for Internet Security. He will discuss what IT changes he expects to see from the Trump administration as well as the latest in threat detection, prevention and remediation.
Edna Conway, chief security officer, global value chain at Cisco Systems, will speak on ways to close the cybersecurity gap in government procurement. Lauren Burnell, chief information security officer and former Navy cryptologic warfare officer, will discuss secure mobile computing and predictive analytics.
