Time flies when you make connections and build relationships. WashingtonExec on June 1 celebrated six years in business, hosting an event that brought together over 100 executives, council members, past speakers and long-time supporters.
The agenda for the company’s annual appreciation event at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, featured transition announcements from WashingtonExec’s legacy councils, along with remarks from chairs from 12 other councils.
John Sutton stepped down as founding chairman of the GM Council, but will continue to provide leadership to the group. Rick White of Sotera resigned as chairman of the Big Data Council, with Melvin Greer of Intel Corp. now taking the reins.
Brett Dody, senior vice president at Vencore, assumes leadership of the Intel Council, replacing Orlando Figueredo, vice president of national security of the U.S. public sector at DXC Technology.
Ravi Dankanikote, senior VP of Enterprise Solutions & Services at CACI International, will serve as chair for Federal Acquisition for BD Professionals.
“The WashingtonExec appreciation event assembled senior leadership focused on driving innovation and digital transformation across government,” said Greer, the newly appointed chair of the Big Data Council and Intel’s director of data science and analytics. “More than a networking event, it was a catalyst for establishing key relationships that make a real difference.”
