Yvonne Vervaet, the chief growth officer of ManTech’s Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions group, spoke to the WashingtonExec Women CEO MasterMind group Wednesday evening about what growing a multimillion-dollar company really looks like.
“Supporting ‘growth’ when you are $20 million per year is difficult,” Vervaet said. “You are now too big just to do all the BD yourself. Your company needs someone to augment the great relationships you have already built.”
Hiring the right people—specifically the right proposal managers and business development professionals—is critical to successful and sustainable growth.
Vervaet, who has worked at ManTech for four years, is responsible for growing technology and cybersecurity solutions across ManTech’s defense, intelligence and federal civilian customer base. The company currently has roughly 1,000 contracts and serves approximately 50 federal agencies. Prior to joining ManTech, Vervaet served in various leadership and business development roles at SIG Holdings, SpecTal and BAE Systems.
