Syncurity announced Feb. 9 the appointment of John Jolly as CEO to replace company founder JP Bourget.

Bourget will remain with Syncurity as chief security officer and will continue to work with customers and market influencers to drive adoption of the company’s flagship IR-Flow platform.

“JP has done a tremendous job in developing and bringing to market a compelling product that solves a significant problem — improving incident response investigations,” Jolly said. “The company is poised for rapid growth, and I am honored and excited to step into this role. Our strong focus on understanding the needs of security teams across the maturity spectrum and enabling their success through our IR-Flow® platform will continue to be core to the company’s vision.”

“John is a proven leader with a strong background in cybersecurity and a track record of business growth and success,” Syncurity Chairman of the Board Tim Sullivan said. “The board is delighted that he has agreed to step into the CEO role at this time.”

Jolly joined Syncurity in January 2016 as vice president of customer success and business development. Prior to Syncurity, he served as General Dynamics’ VP and general manager. Jolly is an honors graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
