Alexandria, Virginia-based SC3 announced Jan. 30 the promotion of Chad Wagner to chief technology officer and Chuck Hicks to executive vice president for strategic growth.
“SC3 strives to hire and cultivate the best, most well-respected talent to help clients achieve their technology-related business goals,” SC3 CEO David Page said. “Chad and Chuck have both shown exceptional leadership, dedication and vision to help lead SC3 into the future. As we look forward, we must continue to place more emphasis on strategic growth and deployment of technologies for our customers.”
Wagner joined SC3 in 2013 through the acquisition of CompSec LLC and was formerly president of CompSec. He is currently the EVP for SC3’s CES Business Unit, where he works with government customers to identify and integrate product technology to assist with mission directives. Wagner will expand his role to assume the duties of CTO and will drive strategic, cross-company technology initiatives to maximize SC3’s impact on its customers.
Wagner brings more than 20 years of experience in architecting, developing and providing technology solutions to the intelligence community. He earned a B.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Hicks joined SC3 in 2015 as chief operating officer and chief financial officer, but has since assumed a greater role in industry relationship management for the company. In his new role, Hicks will solely dedicate his time to lead SC3’s strategic growth efforts by working directly with the company’s business development and operational organizations to expand SC3’s footprint in the intelligence, defense, federal and civilian markets.
Hicks brings more than 25 years of experience in finance, business management, operations and strategy across multiple customer sets in the government contracting and commercial arenas. Hicks earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is also a certified public accountant and served for six years in the U.S. Navy.
