The Association for Federal Information Resources Management will host its next event in its monthly speaker series from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Clyde’s of Gallery Place in Washington, D.C.
The topic of the event, “Empowering Women in Government IT,” will feature the following panelists:
- Kay Ely, director of the Office of IT Schedule Programs, Office of Integrated Technology Services, General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service
- Joyce Hunter, deputy chief information officer for policy and planning, Agriculture Department
- Maria Roat, CIO, Small Business Administration
- Veronica Villalobos, principal deputy associate director, Office of Personnel Management
NextGov Executive Editor Camille Tuutti will serve as moderator.
The group will discuss the path to successfully maintain a workforce that reflects gender-diversity and the attributes that make both men and women successful in information technology fields in the federal workforce today.
The cost to attend is free for government of academia with membership to AFFIRM; $10 in advance for government non-members and $15 for government member walk-ins.
