    Jim Benbow, DCS Corporation

DCS announced Dec. 12 that the company has been awarded an Enhanced Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sensor and System Capability Development contract. The single award contract has a five-year period of performance to provide support to the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.

Under this contract, DCS will conduct research that will provide a capability to reduce intelligence analyst workloads, enhance operator efficiency through reduced detection times and enhance the capability to detect and track small high-value targets in cluttered environments. The detection and tracking of targets of interest will be accomplished by combining soft biometrics data with human detection, segmentation algorithms and machine learning.
