    Amyx Announces Additions to Leadership Team

    Amyx Inc. announced Nov. 30 three additions to its leadership team.

    William “Bill” Schaefer has been promoted to chief operating officer, retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Richard “Rick” M. Murphy has been hired as vice president of defense programs and Alan Carpenter has been named vice president of federal civilian programs.

    “Bill has long been a leader at Amyx and is a trusted partner who has had great success leading our operations,” Amyx President and CEO Satya Akula said. “Rick and Alan each bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to lead our respective divisions as Amyx’s growth continues rapidly.”

    Schaefer previously worked as development manager for Australian defense contractor Tenix Pty Ltd North American market, Cobalt Technology and the Georgia Tech Research Institute. He earned an MBA from The George Washington University School of Business and his undergraduate degree from Hampden-Sydney College.

    Murphy most recently served as director of manpower, organization and resources, deputy chief of staff for manpower, personnel and services at the headquarters U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University, a master’s degree in aero science technology from Embry Riddle University and a master’s degree in military art/science from Air University at Maxwell AFB. He also participated in the Senior Executive Fellows Program at the Harvard Kennedy School.
