Vencore Inc. has received an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide cyberspace science, research, engineering and technology integration to the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Command Systems Center Pacific. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is worth $80 million with a $135 million ceiling, if all options are exercised.

“Vencore is a proven leader in cyber operations with a deep understanding of SPAWAR and its mission,” Vencore Inc. President and CEO Mac Curtis said. “It is because of this understanding that we have been selected to this award and look forward to bringing our cyber expertise to our long-standing SPAWAR customer.”

Under the contract, Vencore will examine the architecture, engineering, functionality, interface and interoperability of cyberspace operations systems, services and capabilities at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. This will include all enabling technologies such as operational exercise design and construction, operations and requirements analysis, concept formulation and development, feasibility demonstrations and operational and technical support.

Vencore will support rapid research, development, prototyping, demonstration, evaluation and transition of cyber solutions for SPAWAR Pacific. The broad scope of work, as well as the emphasis on research and analysis, will encourage the development of countermeasures to current and emerging threats. Building on existing work with the Defense Department and other government clients, this engagement will further Vencore’s efforts to help protect U.S. assets at home and abroad.
