Accenture announced Oct. 26 the appointment of Brigitte Gwyn as managing director of government relations, effective Nov. 7.

Gwyn will be responsible for the company’s government relations activities in North America, as well as key growth markets, including Latin America. In her role, Gwyn will help strategically position the company, build deep relationships in government and effectively advocate for public policy outcomes.

“Brigitte brings deep experience to Accenture and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team,” Accenture’s Global Managing Director for Government Relations Jim Carroll said. “Brigitte’s strong leadership will have a significant impact on our government relations program in North America and across our key markets.”

Gwyn brings more than 20 years of public policy, legislative and government relations experience to the position, having most recently served as Kellogg Company’s vice president for government relations and a member of the company’s Global Leadership Team.

Prior to joining Kellogg in 2011, Gwyn worked for 10 years at Business Roundtable in Washington, D.C., where she served as senior director of congressional relations and public policy and as director of International Trade, Investment and Fiscal Policy. She has also worked for American Express and for Reps. Jim Kolbe and Michael Andrews.

Gwyn earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Houston.
