On Sept. 24, Vencore Inc., in partnership with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, held a veterans-only career fair. The event provided Vencore and other Washington metro area companies a platform to hire and support veterans.
Recruiters representing various companies were available to discuss multiple openings covering a wide range of skill sets. Participating companies included:

- Atlas Plumbing
- DynCorp International
- Integrity Applications Incorporated
- Noblis
- OGSystems
- PAE
- Salient CRGT
- Van Metre
- Vencore
- SOSi
IAVA and the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services also had tables at the event, educating participants on the resources available to veterans as they make their military-to-civilian transition.
“Vencore is proud to be able to host events like this for our local heroes,” said Mac Curtis, president and chief executive officer of Vencore, Inc. “At the end of the day, it’s about helping our veterans make their military-to-civilian transition, and if we played a part in helping any number of veterans get a job offer, it was a success.”
