The Small Business Administration has announced the appointment of Maria A. Roat to serve as its chief information officer, overseeing the agency’s enterprise IT services, systems, investments and security across an extensive and geographically dispersed user base.
Roat joins SBA from the Transportation Department, where she served as chief technology officer since August 2014.
Maria Contreras-Sweet, the head of SBA, said:
