The George Mason University Volgenau School of Engineering will host a free CyberSecurity Youth Conference on Oct. 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The event will feature guest speakers — including the Office of Science & Technology Policy Senior Policy Adviser for Tech Inclusion Ruth Farmer, Virginia Secretary of Education Dr. Dietra Trent and Stevens Institute of Technology Professor K.P. Subbalakshmi — hands-on activities to learn cybersecurity techniques, how to be safe online and computational thinking activities.
There will also be a Pre-College CyberSecurity program.
