Attain Seeks Volunteer Judges for FIRST Lego League Tournament

Attain is looking for individuals to serve as volunteer judges at a FIRST Lego League tournament scheduled for Nov. 19 at Chantilly High School. Thirty-two teams with more than 275 students in grades 4-8 will participate in the all-day event.

In addition to the robot competition itself, teams will be judged on the quality of their research and presentation, as well as their ability to employ the FIRST Core Values in solving a surprise, ad hoc problem.

No prior robotics experience is required to be a judge; all you need is your passion and commitment to ensure each participant has a fun and rewarding experience.

FIRST Lego League’s vision is to create a world where science and technology are celebrated, propelling young people to pursue the fields of science and technology. The robotics competition is a vehicle for students to learn important life skills that include teamwork, creativity, discipline and exploration.

If you are interested in volunteering and/or have any questions, email Todd Morris at trmorris@attain.com.
