Robin Lineberger, Principal for Deloitte Services LP, will receive the Gilbert Paisner Corporate Citizenship Award at the Fishing School Inc.’s yearly Grand Slam event, held Sept. 17 at National Parks.

The award recognizes those who have demonstrated excellence in corporate citizenship by working alongside TFS to make an impact on D.C-area students and their families.

Lineberger has been involved and supported TFS since 2001, when he and his wife, Terry, moved to the greater Washington area. Lineberger says he is passionate about giving back to his community, and upon meeting TFS founder Tom Lewis, knew he wanted to be involved in the organization.

“I recognized the personal sacrifices made by Mr. Lewis, as well as the straightforward mission of The Fishing School,” Lineberger said. “I am so proud to work with an organization that is committed to strengthening the next generation of leaders.”

Lineberger also is a volunteer and champions Deloitte’s involvement with TFS.

“Robin’s impact on our organization cannot be measured,” said Leo Givs, executive director at The Fishing School. “Without Robin, Terry and other Deloitte volunteers, our organization would not have the ability to serve the hundreds of students at our four site schools and our summer program. During every step of the process, they have done everything possible to help us carry out our mission to serve local youth.”

The Fishing School opened its doors in 1990 and prepares elementary and middle school students for success in high school and life by enhancing their academic performance and life skills, and engaging them and their parents in various programs and activities. TFS has impacted over 5,000 students and their families since its inception.
