WashingtonExec last month hosted its second GovCon Executive Happy Hour of the summer at Maggiano’s in Tysons Corner, sponsored by Indrasoft and the Eliassen Group.

The happy hour aims to provide executives and members of the various WashingtonExec councils and branches of government contracting an opportunity to network with peers and colleagues.

Richard Moskowitz, senior account executive at the Eliassen Group, described the event as an “incredible opportunity to meet with key decision-makers in a much more casual setting.”

Raj Lingam, executive vice president of Indrasoft, added: “It was a well-attended happy hour, set in a relaxed casual environment to network and create new business relationships with peers and several retired and soon-to-be retired government officials. As a bonus, the food and drinks were excellent.”

One of the highlights of the July 14 happy hour was Ravi Dankanikote, senior VP of the Enterprise Solutions and Services business group at CACI International, speaking on his appointment as the new chairman of the Federal Acquisitions Council for BD Professionals Council.

“Ravi seems to have a lot planned for this council, and I have no doubt Ravi will be a great chairperson for this council,” said JD Kathuria, CEO and founder of WashingtonExec.

WashingtonExec continues to build and fill its 11 mission-specific councils for the fall.
