Vencore, Inc. will be providing cybersecurity support to the Naval Air Systems Command Cyber Warfare Detachment program, the company announced Aug. 9.

Under a Basic Ordering Agreement, Vencore will work to bolster Navy systems and platforms. The company will compete for task orders to provide advanced research, integration and development support and services on various NAVAIR platforms.

NAVAIR CWD’s goal is to discover and thwart unauthorized weapon systems access; create cyber-hardened responses; and continue operations during enemy engagement.

“Vencore will bring an innovative and proven cyber skillset to the NAVAIR CWD team,” said Vencore CEO and President Mac Curtis. “We are excited to have won a position on this important effort and look forward to expanding our partnership with NAVAIR in support of CWD’s critical mission.”

The BOA will run through late June 2018.
