WashingtonExec has announced Orlando Figueredo, an executive at Hewlett Packard Enterprise U.S. Public Sector, as new chairman of the Intelligence Council.
The Intelligence Council includes senior vice presidents and vice presidents of strategic intelligence with at least 15 years of government or industry service in the intelligence field. The group hosts government executives from the national security and intelligence sectors.
Figueredo currently serves as VP of consulting and intelligence at HPE Public Sector, responsible for managing business performance and ensuring delivery excellence for intelligence community accounts, the integration of consulting services across the broader U.S. public sector account portfolio, and the development of growth strategies.
His 15-year career within HPE has resulted in multiple key sales and management positions, giving him extensive experience directing sales and delivery teams and leading efforts of technology consultation and leadership across market-leading business streams such as cloud, data center transformation and green IT.
Prior to joining HPE, Figueredo served as a communications computer officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he led research and development for the Systems and Technical Planning Directorate within the National Security Council and worked as chief of information services at the U.S. Air Force Special Operations School.
“Orlando has been vice chairman of the Intelligence Council for the past year,” said WashingtonExec CEO and Founder JD Kathuria. “He has done an outstanding job of assisting us with our strategic direction, and we are proud to have him as our new chairman.”
