After a protracted protest period, MacAulay-Brown, Inc. has been awarded a multiyear contract by the U.S. Special Operations Command to support the Strategic Planning and Policy Directorate (J-5).

USSOCOM J-5 is tasked with developing strategy, policy and plans that will be used by the Special Operations Forces across the world, to synchronize Overseas Contingency Operations to achieve strategic goals as defined in global and theater campaigns.

In support of SOCOM’s Strategy Division, MacB’s geopolitical and cultural subject matter experts will provide program management, technical experience, analysis, event and editorial support, in addition to other professional services across all phases of USSOCOM’s Strategic Planning and Policy process.

The task order also calls for aligning strategic and long-range planning efforts with the Adaptive Planning and Execution system.

“This win supporting SOCOM’s Strategy Division continues to demonstrate our ability to execute and deliver critical long-term strategic planning and policy expertise to our Combatant Command customers on a global scale,” said Fred Norman, senior vice president and general manager of MacB’s Missions Systems Group. “This is the first of what we hope will be many task orders under the SWMS-A contract.”
