As WashingtonExec celebrated its fifth anniversary at the Annual Member and Speaker Event at Congressional Country Club, it was also the perfect time to recognize and thank certain members who have been with WashingtonExec since the beginning and who have helped the company grow.
One of these special members is Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), who received the WashingtonExec Early Adopter Award. The success and growth of the organization would not have been possible without the continuous advocacy and support of Fuchs since WashingtonExec’s founding in April 2011.
Fuchs was one of WashingtonExec’s first clients with the launch of his book, Get Off the Bench: Unleashing the Power of Strategic Networking Through Relationships. His book reiterates motto, “When you need a relationship, it’s too late to build it,” a key tenet of WashingtonExec’s purpose and founding.
His ideas and book have been the topic of various roundtable discussions among the different WashingtonExec Councils. Fuchs has been the keynote speaker to the Rising Stars of GovCon Committee, with the advice to never “confuse activity with results;” as well as the Strategic Human Capital Council where he said, “if you are ignoring HR, you are ignoring your people.”
Prior to MacB, Fuchs held many executive positions, such as President and CEO of OAO Technology Solutions (OAOT) and President and CEO of TASC, Inc. He is a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer. Outside his accomplishments in the GovCon industry, Fuchs was also named into the Louisiana State University Alumni Association Hall of Distinction earlier this year and is also the Executive in Residence for the LSU College of Engineering.
“We are incredibly thankful for Sid’s guidance as an informal advisor on behalf of WashingtonExec. We look forward to our continued relationship with Sid over the next five years and beyond,” said JD Kathuria, CEO of WashingtonExec.
