    Engility Wins $29M Contract to Support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division

    Chantilly, Va.-based private defense contractor Engility Holdings Inc. announced July 12 that the company has been awarded a $29 million contract supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), delivering a broad spectrum of engineering services for Air Cushion Vehicles (ACV) — the landing craft used by the U.S. Navy to move materiel and personnel from ship to shore and across the beach.

    “This win allows Engility to expand our model-based engineering portfolio to include the next generation of Navy hovercraft, which provide vital transportation for weapons systems, personnel, cargo and equipment from ship to shore,” Engility CEO Lynn Dugle said. “The NSWC PCD is a valued customer, and Engility looks forward to supporting their mission with highly specialized experts with world-class credentials.”

    Awarded in the second quarter, this new five-year cost-plus-fixed-fee contract encompasses legacy work Engility is delivering on the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC)-1 Class and broadens work into the new Ship-to-Shore Connector LCAC-100 Class. Engility’s Expeditionary Solutions team will provide Expeditionary Warfare Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Navigation, & Electrical (C4N&E) services, including the entire model-based engineering lifecycle ranging from requirements development to engineering design and from development to fleet support.
