CSRA Inc. announced June 20 that two organizations within the company achieved Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) Level 4 ratings. The ratings leverage statistical methods and performance indicators to enhance and strengthen the management of the company’s software engineering products.

“Earning two CMMI Maturity Level 4 appraisal ratings is a significant achievement for our health business,” CSRA Health and Civil group Executive Vice President Paul Nedzbala said. “Completing this nationally recognized appraisal process demonstrates our commitment to understanding the mission of our customers and delivering high quality products, support and services to the health community.”

“This appraisal rating is testament to the outstanding teams we’ve built at CSRA,” CSRA’s President and CEO Larry Prior said. “The level of focus, energy and collaboration required to achieve CMMI Maturity Level 4 is significant and is a reflection of how we harness the power of teams to solve our customers’ toughest challenges.”

CSRA’s legacy companies SRA International Inc. and CSRA LLC (formerly CSC Government Solutions LLC), received CMMI Level 4 ratings for their health business. The appraisal processes were led by Process Strategies, Inc. and Process Improvements and Compliance Inc.

Appraisals at maturity level 4 indicate that the organization is performing at a “quantitatively managed” level. At this level, the organization establishes quantitative objectives for quality and process performance and uses them as criteria in managing projects.
