Sevatec Inc. announced March 23 that it has been awarded the Consolidated Asset Portfolio and Sustainability Information System (CAPSIS) Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence contract under the firm’s Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) Eagle II contracting vehicle. This award represents the company’s sixth task order under Eagle II.
“CAPSIS is an integral part of the DHS Under Secretary for Management’s (USM) overall data management system initiative,” Sevatec CEO Sonny Kakar said. “As 2016 marks the beginning of year five of the CAPSIS Program, we are honored to support this highly visible initiative. Through our proven past performance applying Agile methodologies to lead DHS business intelligence and data warehouse efforts, we will provide a mature foundation to consolidate valuable analytics and decision-making for DHS.”
With partner ICF International, Sevatec will support the operations, maintenance, enhancement and data population of the DHS Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer’s (OCRSO) reporting system of record, CAPSIS, and its three integrated subsystems, the Real Property Data Warehouse (RPDW), Asset Management Data Warehouse (AMDW) and the Sustainability Performance Management System (SPM). Sevatec will also improve the integration of the CAPSIS subsystems, providing a common platform for supporting transparent decision-making, while enhancing DHS’ ability to accomplish its security missions.
OCRSO is responsible for the Departmental policy and management oversight of several lines of business functions, including real property, personal property, mobile assets, environmental sustainability and energy management.
CAPSIS is a web-based Oracle data warehouse and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) solution that is designed to capture and report DHS’ portfolio of assets, and related performance and sustainability costs.
