The American Heart Association will host its 32nd Annual Golf Tournament from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 25 at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.
The day includes breakfast, silent auction, exciting challenges, raffle items and post-event awards dinner. The cost to attend is $5,000 for a group of four.
Integrated Support Systems Inc. CEO Marty Cummings is serving as the event chair. This year’s goal is to raise $325,000.
The dollars raised by this golf tournament will fund local and national life-saving medical research, advocacy and community education. Research funded by the AHA has led to the discovery of artificial valves, CPR, clot-busting drugs, Pacemakers, angioplasty, bypass surgery, medicines to control high blood pressure and cholesterol. It has also helped to make the connection between smoking and heart disease.
