MacAulay Brown, Inc. (MacB) announced April 25 the promotion of Dan Gutierrez to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the National Security Group (NSG). He will also become a member of MacB’s Senior Executive Group (SEG).

“Dan’s leadership and experience with high-priority initiatives, coupled with his savvy business and management skills, will enable him to lead MacB and NSG to new levels,” MacB President and CEO Sid Fuchs said. “He is a proven executive who blends the needs of his team with an aggressive desire to tailor projects according to the unique needs of individual customers.”

“I’m honored to have been chosen for this vital leadership position and look forward to leading an exceptional NSG team of highly-skilled professionals,” Gutierrez said. “Our group has many years of military, government and engineering experience providing a broad spectrum of cyber, intelligence and engineering solutions, as well as proven best practices to recognize, respond and resolve our customer’s toughest challenges in an ever-changing environment.”

Gutierrez brings more than 35 years of experience within the intelligence and cyber communities to the position. He joined MacB in April 2010 and previously led NSG’s Cyber Intelligence Division in San Antonio and was Vice President of Mid Atlantic Operations and NSG Operations.

Prior to joining MacB, Gutierrez worked as Department Manager for Northrop Grumman-TASC Cyber and ISR Support. He also served a distinguished 20-year career with the U.S. Air Force, retiring in January 2000, and has received the distinctive Air Force Intelligence Award, Senior NCO category and earned a degree in Communications Applications Technology.  He is a member of the Air Force Association, Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance.
