Arlington, Va.-based PAE announced March 21 the appointment of Kenneth (Ken) Myers to President of its National Security Solutions business unit.

“Ken brings unique insight and extraordinary leadership experience in highly technical environments to this role,” PAE CEO John Heller said. “I look forward to working with him on strategies to expand and enhance our robust National Security Solutions team.”

“PAE is making tremendous contributions to U.S. and international security,” Myers said. “I wanted to be a part of an organization making a difference.”

In his new role, Myers will lead the National Security Solutions business unit, which was created last year after the company acquired the USIS Global Security & Solutions segment in January and A-T Solutions in June.

He previously served as the Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and US Strategic Command’s Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction; as a Senior Professional Staff Member on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations; and the Senior Legislative Assistant for National Security in the Office of Senator Richard Lugar. In addition, Myers is the recipient of three Department of Defense Joint Meritorious Unit Awards and numerous science and technology accolades.
