Mary Hamilton Appointed by Accenture to Women Who Code Board of Directors

It was announced by professional services provider Accenture that it has appointed its managing director and location lead for the Accenture Lab in Silicon Valley, Mary Hamilton to the Board of Directors at Women Who Code. Women Who Code is a non-profit organization that encourages women’s achievements in technology careers.

Alaina Percival, CEO and Board Chair of Women Who Code stated, “Mary is a leader in the industry and we’re honored to have her join our Board of Directors. Her leadership will exponentially further our mission of inspiring women to excel in technology careers.”

By joining the Board of Directors at Women Who Code Hamilton will have influence in shaping the organization’s business development strategy, advising for sustainable growth, expanding global presence, finding and growing women leaders in technology careers.

Hamilton has been with Accenture just over 19 years where she has led the company’s global Digital Experience research and development agenda. She has been actively involved in mentoring women at the Accenture Lab in Silicon Valley and advocated for women in technology within Accenture and in the greater industry.

Commenting on her new position Hamilton said, “I’ve always had a passion for technology and am thrilled to join the Women Who Code Board of Directors to help support women in their pursuit of STEM-related career fields. The organization aligns with Accenture’s commitment to supporting and advancing women in technology and I look forward to helping continue the important work they are doing.”
