The 2016 Heart Ball brought together over 500 of the leading physicians, corporate, health care, and community leaders in the DC region.

The theme of the 2016 Heart Ball was Lights, Camera, Take Action! The premier society event and a celebration of the life-saving work of the American Heart Association brought together more than 500 of the region’s most prominent physician, corporate, health care, and community leaders. The event took place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C. and included live and silent auctions, dinner, dancing and special presentations. Among the auction items were a luxurious South African Safari donated by Singita and Delta Airlines as well as a National Geographic parks expedition. Lily Grace Rancourt, a six year old heart transplant recipient was the highlight of the “Open Your Heart” portion of the evening.

The fun continued until 1 a.m. at the after-party, Heart After Dark which was hosted by PULSE, the American Heart Association’s Young Professionals Committee. People danced the night away to the sounds of the band, Escapade.
