Next-generation IT solutions and professional services provider, CSRA announced on March 9th that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Research and Development awarded it a seven-year, $54 million contract to create, apply, and distribute complex environmental simulations in support of EPA’s research initiatives.

This contract serves as a re-compete of previous task orders that were previously held by the companies that consolidated to form CSRA. CSRA will continue to support the EPA by providing scientific support resources at multiple ORD locations which will be used throughout the EPA for modeling application and support.

Larry Prior, President and CEO of CSRA stated, “One of our critical focuses at CSRA is supporting the advancement of science and technology as it relates to environmental monitoring, citizen services and climate change. Our mission directly supports and complements the EPA’s charge to protect human health and the environment. We are using best-in-class technologies, scientific applications and visualization technologies to develop sophisticated environmental models and simulations that enable in-depth research for environmental issues such as global climate change that are too large to replicate in the real world. This contract is a prime example of how CSRA has combined its resources to strengthen our ability to serve the important environmental missions of the EPA.”
