It was announced on February 11th by Sunnyvale, Ca.-based Infinera Corporation that it has appointed three new Government Advisory Board Members; Roger Baker, Diana Gowen, and Henry Sienkiewicz.
Roger Baker most recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer for Agilex Technologies Inc. From 2009 to 2013 he worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs as the Assistant Secretary and the Chief Information Officer. He also served as the Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Commerce from 1998 to 2001. Over the course of his career Baker has held executive positions at several large government integrators such as CACI International and General Dynamics Corp.
Diana Gowen is the former Senior Vice President and General Manager for the public sector at CenturyLink Inc. She has held executive positions at Qwest Government Services Inc., MCI Government Markets, Corvis Group Inc., and Broadwing Communications LLC. Federal Computer Week has named Gowen Executive of the Year twice.
Henry Sienkiewicz is currently an author and strategic advisor. From 2008 to 2013 Sienkiewicz served as a member of the Senior Executive Service at the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency where he performed a variety of functions, one of which was the Chief Information Officer. During his time as the Computing Services’ Technical Director for the U.S. Defense Department Sienkiewicz introduced the cloud computing model.
