It was announced on January 11th by Fairfax, Va.-based General Dynamics Information Technology that it had been given the Federal Risk Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization for its “GDIT Cloud”. This authorization assures the federal, state and local governments that this cloud solution complies with the security controls.
General Dynamics has provided the defense, intelligence, federal civilian and commercial customers for the past ten years with the ability to develop cloud strategies, build virtualization and automation solutions, and select appropriate cloud infrastructures amongst others. The GDIT Cloud implementation will include; complete components and managed services for optimized performance, transparent cloud and managed service pricing, guaranteed performance and service quality, and finally flexible deployment including public, private and hybrid models.
