On December 14th the Choral Arts Society of Washington hosted its 35th annual Holiday Concert and Gala at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall and Terrace. This annual Holiday Concert and Gala is the Choral Arts’ principal fundraising and social event of the year. Proceeds raised from the Gala directly benefit Choral Arts’ artistic programming and award-winning education and community initiatives. December 14th’s event was attended by 434 guests and grossed over $485,000.
This year’s Gala was held under the patronage of His Excellency The Ambassador of Singapore Ashok Mirpuri and Mrs. Gouri Mirpuri. The evening recognized the 50th anniversary of both the Choral Arts Society and the independence of Singapore. The guests enjoyed a performance by the Singapore Youth Choir Ensemble Singers. The evening also included a silent auction with items such as specially curated cases of wine from around the world and amazing trips to Europe and Asia. Loran Brueggan Aiken chaired this year’s Gala.
