IT services provider NCI Inc. (NCIT) announced Dec. 22 that the company has been appraised at Level 3 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI®-DEV).

“NCI is proud to continue our history of promoting quality and our culture of continuous improvement through this CMMI appraisal,” NCI’s President and CEO Brian J. Clark said. “It demonstrates our commitment to consistently delivering results for our customers as we assist them in achieving their vital missions. It also is a testament to the quality of our people and processes that ensure the highest levels of quality and repeatability.”

NCI’s appraisal included organizational process management, project and work management, engineering and support for current software development projects for customers across the Department of Defense and civilian agencies.

CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes to improve performance and ensure repeatability. The CMMI-DEV model further provides a comprehensive integrated set of guidelines for developing products and services that meet the needs of customers and end users.

NCI also holds ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 20000-1:2011 certifications.
