Leidos Senior Vice President and Chief Systems Architect Rob Zitz spoke on the panel on Domestic and International Energy Policy held Nov. 3 at the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College, in Gettysburg, Penn.

Zitz described both physical and cyber risks and protection strategies. He is a former deputy undersecretary of preparedness at the Dept. of Homeland Security and 32-year veteran of the intelligence community. An expert on critical infrastructure, cybersecurity and terrorism, Zitz was joined by senior executives from the Dept. of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.

The panel was the first in a three-panel series examining nuclear and non-nuclear strategy, policy and security.

Organized and presented by the Eisenhower Institute Undergraduate Fellows, the Domestic and International Energy Policy Panel of experts will examine energy policy from a national security and counter-terrorism perspective, exploring how energy infrastructure is threatened and protected in a time of increasing globalization.
