Global engineering, technology and operational solutions company Alion Science and Technology, based in McLean, Va., announced Nov. 17 that Gerry Decker has been named Chief Growth Officer (CGO).

“Over the course of his 30 year career, Gerry has developed entrepreneurial organizations that can consistently identify and capture large, prime contracts,” Alion CEO Bahman Atefi said. “At Alion, we think of growth in the long term, building sustainable customer relationships and solutions. Gerry’s insights and approaches have been proven successful time and again, and we look forward to benefitting from his perspective, expertise, and leadership.”

Decker will lead corporate strategy to drive revenue growth. He will also be engaged in bringing the company into non-traditional markets for its services, while also helping with new technology initiatives to expand the company’s range of solutions.

Decker has previously served as President, COO and SVP for Business Development at federally-focused companies, including DynCorp, CSC, McNeil Technologies and AECOM.
