Fairfax, Va.-based Salient CRGT Inc. announced Nov. 24 that the company has been awarded a three-year task order award from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) valued at approximately $15 million.

“Our team is incredibly proud to be a trusted partner of the FDA. The agency’s mission of protecting our public health is a monumental responsibility,” Salient CRGT President Tom Ferrando said. “The CVM goes through lengthy, rigorous processes to ensure the health of animals in the United States. We have made a firm commitment to provide modern technology for CVM to advance their mission for continued safety and effectiveness in human and animal drugs and feeds.”

Under the task order, Salient CRGT will provide full lifecycle support for CVM systems and technologies, operations and maintenance (O&M), as well as development, modernization and enhancement projects.

In partnership with team members VersaTech and Appian, Salient CRGT will support the CVM in several IT areas, including O&M, enterprise applications, configuration management and release management. The company will provide IT operations expertise for CVM applications, systems and web/application services that enable approximately 500 users and scientific community stakeholders. Salient CRGT will also develop new solutions and enhance existing applications to ensure maximum operability of the CVM while optimizing CVM user experience and productivity.

This award was through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Guident Inc.
