Fairfax, Va.-based Highlight Technologies LLC announced Nov. 9 that the company has been awarded a contract to provide library science subject matter expertise for the National Defense University (NDU) libraries.

“We are excited and pleased for the opportunity to provide expert library support to the National Defense University,” Highlight Technologies President and CEO Rebecca Andino said. “We look forward to supporting NDU’s mission to advance joint professional military education.”

The National Defense University supports the joint warfighter by providing Joint Professional Military Education to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and select others in order to develop leaders that have the ability to operate and think creatively.

Highlight Technologies will provide subject matter expertise in reference, instruction, web content creation, metadata creation and digital collections maintenance.

This is the first contract Highlight Technologies has won in support of the National Defense University.
