The 2015 White Hat Gala will be held 6:30-11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

The event starts with a reception, followed by dinner and program, and concludes with after hours lounge and entertainment. Planned attendees include about 400 cybersecurity experts, leaders in the field, government heads of the industry, VIPs and federal contractor executives, as well as Children’s National Health System friends and staff.

Children’s National is the only exclusive provider of pediatric care in the metropolitan Washington area and the only freestanding children’s hospital between Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Norfolk and Atlanta.

The itinerary for the evening includes a reception from 6:30 to 8 p.m., dinner and program from 8 to 9:30 p.m. and an after hour lounge and entertainment from 9:30 to 11 p.m.

The White Hat organization was established in 2004 in the United Kingdom to protect vulnerable children through charitable means. White Hat USA was organized in 2012 with the goal of raising money to help children at risk while providing networking opportunities for members of the cybersecurity community. The goal of White Hat USA is to provide philanthropic endeavors throughout the year. Last year’s gala raised $425,000.

Individual tickets are $500; Thunderball Sponsor tickets are $2,500.

The Children’s Hospital Foundation raises money to support the role Children’s National Health System plays in improving the health of children in the nation’s capital, across the country and around the world.
