The American Red Cross in the National Capital Region will host its Salute to Service Gala on Nov. 20 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

Military, government, corporate and community leaders will come together for this annual black-tie tribute, which is the largest fundraising event of the year for the American Red Cross. The funds raised will be used to support services delivered every day in our National Capital Region. The “Rally for Red” reception will be an added event this year for young professionals which will be taking place in conjunction with the Gala.

U.S. Secretary of Defense, the Hon. Ashton B. Carter, will receive the Lifetime of Service Award and Sen. Bob and Elizabeth Dole will receive the Exceptional Service Award. U.S. Army veteran, author, actor and “Dancing with the Stars” winner J.R. Martinez will serve as the host and emcee for the evening.
