Industry partners that support the intelligence and national security communities are encouraged to nominate their up-and-coming junior professionals for the Edwin H. Land Industry Award, presented by the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA). Appropriate nominees would be contractors and nongovernment employees with 8-10 years of nonexecutive experience.
“Recognition of individuals who have demonstrated great promise is seldom seen across the workforce supporting our intelligence and national security communities,” INSA President Ambassador Joseph DeTrani said. “It is imperative we support and encourage individuals earlier in their career if we are to have the best and brightest leading our national security mission in the future. That is why INSA believes the Achievement Awards are so important. We hope our private sector members, and non-members, take advantage of this opportunity to recognize someone of distinction within their junior ranks.”
The Land Industry Award is one of six presented annually as part of the INSA Achievement Awards program.
Private sector organizations also are encouraged to nominate individuals for the Joan A. Dempsey Mentorship Award. Nominees come from public, private and academic elements up to and including GS-15/0-6 and equivalent rank.
Nomination forms for both awards are available here and will be accepted through Oct. 30, 2015. Recipients will be acknowledged at the 2016 INSA Achievement Awards ceremony in February. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will provide the keynote remarks.
