It was announced on October 1st by Herndon, Va.-based LGS Innovations that it has acquired Dulles, Va.-based Axios, Inc. which provides communications and signal processing solutions and mission support services for the Department of Defense and Intelligence communities.

Kevin Kelly, CEO of LGS Innovations said, “Axios has a high caliber of project performance, corporate culture, and outstanding people. Both Axios and LGS employees share a dedication to the mission and a track record of developing creative solutions to complicated challenges, and we are looking forward to working together on communications and networking advancements. External acquisitions like Axios, coupled with our continuing internal investment strategy, are essential to the LGS growth strategy and efforts to provide more comprehensive and cutting-edge technologies and solutions to our customers.”

Axios, which was founded in 2000, will continue its operations as a wholly-owned subsidiary of LGS. Houlihan Lokey served as exclusive financial advisor to Axios on this transaction.

Frank Nadal, President of Axios stated, “We are very excited to join the LGS team. By joining forces, we will be able to tackle even more complex and large scale mission challenges for our customers, which is what brought us all into this line of work.”
